Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy has been organized in Central
Kentucky to serve the needs of the horse farms that breed and
train Thoroughbreds for racing. While the high concentration
of farms in counties surrounding Lexington presents a great
opportunity for our mission, it also presents great challenges
to organize and ultimately meet the spiritual needs of thousands
of farm workers.
In an effort to build support, we are seeking twelve farms
to join the Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy as “Founding Farms”.
A Founding Farm would agree to have our chaplains and staff
visit their farms, and serve their employees on a regular basis.
They would commit to supporting our ministry financially for
an initial period of six years at a minimum of $5,000 per year.
Each Founding Farm would have a seat on the Blue Grass Farms
Board of Directors and would receive appropriate recognition
in the community and horse industry.
